Storia
Fu nel 2009 che Sebastien decise di raccogliere la sfida. La donatrice, un'Aprilia Futura, funge da cavia. Costruisce un primo prototipo elettrico nel suo garage. Dopo un anno di lavoro presenta un prototipo che raggiunge 110 km / he un'autonomia di 60 km. Le esibizioni sono modeste ma la tecnica è lì.
La Newron Motors Company è stata creata alla fine del 2016 da Sebastien Mahut e Michel Serafin, due ex ingegneri aeronautici.
Nel 2017 il progetto prende fiato e Newron si trasferisce nell'acceleratore Usine IO a Parigi. Vengono stabiliti contatti con i principali attori del settore come PSA o Valeo. Anne Asensio (esperienza di Vice President Design presso Dassault System, ex direttore del design del gruppo General Motors ed ex responsabile del design di piccole e medie dimensioni di Renault) sceglie Newron per l'orientamento del design, il design e l'esperienza utente. Ottimizzano il telaio, la guida e gli orientamenti di progettazione globali.

Nel 2018, vincitore del premio Innov'Up al Futur.e.s Festival di Parigi, ha luogo una fusione con il gruppo ADVANS (partner dei maggiori gruppi aeronautici Thales, Safran, Airbus). Questa partnership porterà allo sviluppo e al collaudo di software embedded per la motocicletta elettrica, per migliorare l'esperienza dell'utente (ricarica rapida, connettività 4G, app per smartphone, dashboard digitale)
Quest'anno, a Newron è stata offerta la partecipazione a eventi internazionali al Festival Internazionale dell'Automobile di Invalides e una dimostrazione al Gran Premio di Formula E di ABB a Parigi.
Newron ha anche esposto il suo prototipo tecnico al Motors and Soul Show a Gambais (78) il 7 e l'8 settembre. I visitatori hanno potuto testare e guidare l'EV-1 grazie all'esperienza di realtà virtuale.

Newron sarà presente alla famosa 24h di Le Mans ad aprile 2020.

History

It was in 2009 that Sebastien decided to take up the challenge. The donor, an Aprilia Futura serves as guinea pig. He builds a first electric prototype in his garage. After one year of work it presents a prototype reaching 110 km/h and a range of 60 km. The performances are modest but the technique is there.

Newron Motors Company was created in late 2016 by Sebastien Mahut and Michel Serafin, two former aeronautical engineers.

In 2017 the project takes a breath and Newron takes up residence in the Usine IO accelerator in Paris. Contacts are formed with major players in the industry such as PSA or Valeo. Anne Asensio (Vice President Design experience at Dassault System, former design director of the General Motors group and former head of small and mid-range design at Renault) chooses Newron for orientation of design, design thinking and user experience. They optimize the frame, driving and global design orientations.

In 2018, winner of the Innov'Up prize at the Futur.e.s Festival in Paris, a merger with ADVANS Group (partners of the largest aeronautical groups Thales, Safran, Airbus) takes place. This partnership will lead to the development and testing of embedded software for the electric motorcycle, to improve the user experience (fast charge, 4G connectivity, smartphone app, digital dashboard)

This year, Newron was offered participation in international events at the International Automobile Festival at Invalides and a demonstration at the ABB Formula E Grand Prix in Paris.

Newron was also exhibiting its technical prototype at Motors and Soul show in Gambais (78) on September 7th and 8th. Visitors could test and ride the EV-1 thanks to Virtual Reality experience.

Ongoing industrialization

In 2019, Newron made a number of partnerships to ensure industrialization of the project:

• OEM suppliers for high end equipment (Bitubo, Beringer, Rotobox)
• Connectivity and HIM (CarMedialab, Cobo)
• Frame and chassis development
• Design and fairings development
• Prototyping and tooling (Erpro)
• Accessory and lifestyle (Racer Gloves)

In October 2019, Newron signed a deal with Poulmaire & Associés Office to structure and develop the project.

Next steps

Newron will be present at the famous 24h of Le Mans race in April 2020.
