Alla Ducati abbiamo iniziato a fare ricerca e sviluppo nell'aerodinamica delle motociclette prima di chiunque altro al mondo. Siamo stati i primi a introdurre innovazioni aerodinamiche nella massima competizione motociclistica del mondo. Questo è un fatto.

Lo sviluppo di metodologie aerodinamiche è inevitabilmente legato alla Ducati Corse e quindi alla progettazione di prototipi da corsa unici. Un contesto in cui ogni millesimo di secondo può fare la differenza e in cui la barra dell'eccellenza è molto elevata. Di stagione in stagione i progetti cambiano e si evolvono, ma rimangono alcune pietre miliari.

La vera innovazione non complica: semplifica. Il lavoro svolto con l'applicazione del pacchetto aereo GP16 su Superleggera V4 rende la bici più facile da guidare. Valorizza appieno tutta la potenza del veicolo, non effettuando il pieno intervento dei sistemi elettronici necessari per ridurre la potenza fornita. Il carico verticale sulla parte anteriore rende l'accelerazione meno complessa da gestire. L'acceleratore può essere aperto prima e la bici rimane incollata al suolo.
