Nel 2001, i cinema di tutto il mondo echeggiavano al suono di un CCM 644 guidato dalla splendida Angelina Jolie nel film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Tuttavia, era necessario essere un vero appassionato di CCM per individuare il modello di punta del marchio del Lancashire poiché la moto era pesantemente modificata e senza marchio.
Quindi, quando è arrivata la chiamata dal team di produzione di Bond per proporre una delle nostre bici per il prossimo film di 007, CCM era molto entusiasta della prospettiva. La nostra moto è stata selezionata per gli ultimi due, tuttavia a causa delle esigenze di budget del franchise di Bond, CCM non è stata in grado di impegnarsi e il resto come si dice è storia….
Le speranze di CCM sono state accresciute dall'interesse di altre società di produzione che sono rimaste colpite dalle macchine in mostra e dalla capacità dell'azienda di Bolton di fornire una bicicletta adatta al compito.
Nel giro di poche settimane dalla ricezione delle notizie deludenti sul film di Bond, è arrivata una chiamata che invitava CCM a fornire una bici per i test da parte della squadra di stunt per un film ad alto budget. La moto è stata sottoposta a punizioni estreme sul campo di prova fuoristrada, superando ostacoli e saltando da tavolo; la moto si è comportata così bene subito che il team si è sentito in grado di utilizzare le bici CCM di produzione standard in tutte le sequenze acrobatiche piuttosto che le loro solite moto da cross.
Questo feedback è stata la notizia di cui CCM aveva bisogno ed è stato effettuato un ordine da uno studio per sei macchine identiche per servire a scopi diversi nel film, con le acrobazie da far rizzare i capelli che potrebbero essere eseguite dalla più grande stunt rider di sempre - Sarah Lezito.

 

E il film? Il nuovo lungometraggio Marvel Black Widow, originariamente previsto per l'uscita il 1 ° maggio, e ritardato fino al 6 novembre 2020 a causa della pandemia.

La possibilità di creare un'edizione speciale di questa macchina stellare era semplicemente troppo bella per non essere sfuggita, quindi il team si è messo al lavoro su un modello tributo, progettato per rendere omaggio ed emulare lo stile delle ruote di questo supereroe più sorprendente.

La moto condivide lo stesso spirito con la star del film, tuttavia, mentre il modello che Scarlett Johansson guida nel film ha un aspetto robusto e utilitario, la versione di produzione finale ha un aspetto molto più raffinato.

La differenza inizia con la combinazione di colori "Blackout" dipinta a mano che aggiunge una profonda finitura nera metallizzata al cofano del faro in fibra di carbonio e al serbatoio del carburante, con pannelli grigi a contrasto e dettagli rossi. Tutto questo è completato dalle staffe anodizzate e lavorate di colore rosso intenso e dai morsetti tripli.

Una lussuosa doppia sella in microsuede grigio scuro fornisce il trespolo perfetto da cui ammirare le linee curve del serbatoio e alla base di tutto questo. la firma Spitfire fatta a mano, struttura a traliccio in acciaio, rifinita con un profondo rivestimento a polvere nero perlescente.

Il movimento del motore da 600 cc che prende vita attira la vostra attenzione sul nuovo ed elegante sistema di scarico a taglio slash montato in alto sulle moto fuorigioco per la massima altezza da terra.

Una nuova mappa delle prestazioni e un cambio modificato assicureranno che questo nuovo eroe della flotta Spitfire sarà molto divertente sulla tua b-road preferita.

E il prezzo? Bene, non è necessario essere una star del cinema di Hollywood per permettersi questa macchina stellare! Il modello base viene venduto al dettaglio per soli £ 8995 OTR nel Regno Unito con una vasta gamma di extra opzionali con i pacchetti Action, Hero e Legend.

Back in 2001, cinemas around the world echoed to the sound of a CCM 644 being ridden by the stunning Angelina Jolie in the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie. You needed to be a real CCM aficionado however to spot the Lancashire brand’s flagship model as the bike was heavily modified and unbranded.
So, when the call came in from the Bond production team to put forward one of our bikes for consideration for the next 007 movie, CCM were very excited at the prospect. Our bike was shortlisted to the final two however due to the budget demands of the Bond franchise, CCM were unable to commit and the rest as they say is history….
Down but not out, CCM’s hopes were raised by the interest from other production companies that were impressed by the machines on show and the Bolton firm’s ability to deliver a bike to fit the brief.
Within a few short weeks of receiving the disappointing news about the Bond movie, a call came in inviting CCM to supply a bike for testing by the stunt team for a big budget movie. The bike was subjected to extreme punishment on their off-road testing ground flying up obstacles and flying over table-top jumps; the bike performed so well straight off the line that the team felt able to use the standard production CCM bikes in all of the stunt sequence rather than their usual lookalike dirtbikes.
This feedback was the news that CCM needed and a studio order was placed for six identical machines to serve different purposes in the movie, with the hair-raising stunts to be performed by possibly the greatest female stunt rider ever – Sarah Lezito.

And the movie? The new Marvel Black Widow feature film, originally slated for release on 01 May, and delayed until 06 November 2020 due to the pandemic.

The chance to create a special edition of this stellar machine was just too good to miss so the team got to work on a tribute model, designed to pay homage and emulate the style of this most striking of superhero’s wheels.

The bike shares the same spirit with the star of the movie however whereas the model that Scarlett Johansson rides in the film has a rugged utilitarian look, the final production version has a far more polished look and feel.

The difference starts with the hand-painted “Blackout” colour scheme adding a deep metallic black finish to the carbon-fibre headlight cowl and fuel tank, with contrasting grey panels and red detailing. All this is complemented by the rich-red anodized & machined yokes and triple clamps.

A luxurious dark gray microsuede dual saddle provides the prefect perch from which to admire the curved lines of the tank and underpinning all of this. the Spitfire signature hand- made, steel trellis frame, finished in a deep pearlescent black powder coating.

Thumbing the purposeful 600cc motor into life draws your attention to the stylish new slash- cut exhaust system mounted high on the bikes offside for maximum ground clearance.

A new performance map and revised gearing will ensure that this new hero from the Spitfire fleet, will be great fun on your favourite b-road.

And the price? Well, you don’t need to be a Hollywood movie star to afford this stellar machine! The base model retails for just £8995 OTR in the UK with an expansive range of optional extras with the aptly titled Action, Hero and Legend packs.
