The FC Baja Scrambler / Marcus MotoDesign Carlsson

 

 Una nuova interpretazione  di Marcus di una moto nata per il puro piacere e divertimento  basata su di una Husqvarna FC250  del 2016 per scorrazzare attraverso i sentieri delle foreste svedesi.

- " Ho iniziato rimuovendo a mano il telaio da tutta la vernice a polvere e poi l'ho lasciato nudo con 2 strati di olio per armi tedesco, Ballistol. Funziona benissimo per tenere lontana la ruggine. Poi ho aggiunto un vecchio parafango posteriore dal cestino al telaietto posteriore originale. Un pezzo di plastica è stato progettato per creare un piacevole incontro tra la sella e il parafango. 

Le coperture laterali sono rimodellate e tagliate molto più piccole dell'originale e ora fissate con viti a chiusura rapida. Il serbatoio del gas è extra large, 2,7 galloni da IMS con il mio tappo del serbatoio in billet basato su CAD da me. Grazie a Daniel dei prodotti IMS per il supporto. Il tappo del serbatoio ha un blocco filettato interno di una harley davidson :-) . 

Le strane forme del serbatoio del gas erano così belle, quindi non volevo aggiungere alcuna protezione del serbatoio, ma invece ho realizzato dei piccoli copriradiatori in lamiera d'acciaio. Hanno già un po 'di ruggine patinata attorno al logo husqvarna. :-) 

La sella è stato accorciato per far vedere il serbatoio ma anche per dargli di più un look scrambler insieme al parafango posteriore in stile scrambler. Fu allora che nacque il nome, Baja Scrambler. dal mix di influenze dei grandi serbatoi delle gare Baja e l'aspetto scrambler nella parte posteriore. 

Il fanale posteriore proviene da un 1950 trattore che ora dispone di una luce LED interna e di una staffa stampata in 3D. Luce anteriore che è una luce accessoria acquistata 10 anni fa durante un viaggio a Tokyo. Ha anche una staffa stampata in 3D. La terza staffa stampata in 3D tiene la luce della ECU sulla parte superiore giogo. Le ruote da 21 e 19 pollici sono di Roland Sands Design. 

Conosco Roland da quando avevo appena finito la mia prima costruzione, la concept bike Husqvarna V1000 Gran Turismo ed era nella giuria del bike show in Svezia. Mi ha supportato e le ruote Judge Contrast Cut sono le ruote più belle in circolazione secondo me! I mozzi che ho dovuto realizzare in CAD e poi ho stampato in 3D in plastica e li ho testati prima di essere sicuro di lasciarli per la lavorazione CNC in alluminio. 

I pneumatici provengono da Dunlop Geomax AT81 Grazie a Mattias di DunlopSverige. FMF ci ha aiutato con un fantastico sistema da gara completo in titanio, il FACTORY 4.1 RCT TITANIUM SL.

The FC Baja Scrambler

"It is based on Husqvarna FC250 2016 motocrosser. I started by stripping the frame from all powdercoat by hand and then left it bare metal with 2 layers of german gun oil, Ballistol. It works great to keep the rust away. Then I added an old rear fender from the scrap-bin to the original rear subframe. A plastic piece was designed to make a nice meeting between the seat and the fender. The side covers are reshaped and cut much smaller than original and now attached with quick-lock screws. The gas tank is a extra large one, 2,7 gallon from IMS with own billet gas cap based on CAD by myself. Thanks to Daniel at IMS products for the support. The gas cap have internal thread lock from a harley davidson :-). The weird shapes of the gas tank was so cool so I didn't wanted to add any tank shrouds but instead made small radiator covers in steel sheet metal. They have got some patina rust already around the husqvarna logo. :-) The seat was shortened to show of the tank but also to give it more of a scrambler look together with the scrambler style rear fender. That is when the name came up, Baja Scrambler. from the mix of influences from the big tanks of the Baja races and the scrambler look in the rear. The rear light come from an 1950s tractor that now feature a LED light internal and a 3D printed bracket. Front light which is a accessory light bought 10 years ago on a trip to Tokyo. It also got a 3D printed bracket. Third 3D printed bracket holds the ECU light on the top yoke.

The 21 and 19 inch wheels are from Roland Sands Design. I know Roland from way back when I just had finished my first build, the Husqvarna V1000 Gran Turismo concept bike and he was in the jury of the bike show in Sweden. He supported me and the Judge Contrast Cut wheels are the coolest wheels around in my opinon! The hubs I had to make myself in CAD and then I 3D printed in plastics and test fitted them before I was sure to leave them for CNC maching in aluminium.
