GSXR 1100 750 Drag slabby















Yamaha R6 front end.

43mm forks fully adjustable, one of the best conventional forks. Fully stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new seals. Under advice from Hagon, progressive springs from FZ1000 fitted with preload spacers remade. Polished legs.

 Front wheel satin black powder coated, new bearings and pilot power 3 tyre. Carbon fibre front mudguard. Yamaha discs with gold Ti bolts. Gold spot calipers, fully rebuilt/re-anodised with new seals, pads and ceramic pistons from a one off batch made for XJR owners club. Ti caliper bolts, lockwired. Venhill brake lines.

Controls etc

Brembo radial master cylinder. Motion pro push/pull throttle. GSXR 600 fully adjustable clutch lever. SES racing clip-ons. Yokes-yamaha bottom, CNC billet top. Modded TL1000 steering step with new taper roller head stock bearings. Koso speedo, Scitsu racing tacho. Original fairing mounts, smoked screen and headlight bubble, top quality pattern top fairing, LED halo headlights.

Chassis

1985 GSX-R 750 frame GR71- good original finish, straight no cracks. Seat subframe removed at some point, new ally tube frame made up, rose jointed and made specifically for this bike, coded welding. Seat is TZ 250 H with upholstered seat from Fondseca racing. Standard fuel tank.

Engine

Stock 1990 GSX-R1100 L motor, 1127cc, funnily enough prefix V 711. Mileage unknown but a sound motor throughout, tappets done, oil and filter. Paint refreshed. Cam oil line mod with HEL lines. Limited edition sand cast ‘R’ engine covers from MK components. Porthole Clutch cover by Coba valley cycles. New Setrab 18 row oil cooler, rubber mounted, Goodrich aeroquip braided hoses and fittings. Goodrich aeroquip breather hose/fittings. New Vance & Hines sidewinder drag pipe, removable baffle fitted. New Mikuni flatslide smoothbore 38mm RS carbs, 50mm Mikuni velocity stacks, Ram air foam filter socks.

Rear end

Spondon swinging arm, one of ‘sweary Bobs’ finest.  Ohlins rear shock, linkages have been stripped, re-anodised, all new needle roller/spherical bearings, new sleeves machined. 6” TL1000 rear wheel, powder coated satin black, all new bearings, new cush drive rubbers. Renthal hard anodise sprocket, DID 530 X-ring chain. Stock Nissin Suzuki rear caliper, stripped, re-built, new seals, re-finished, Ti bolts lockwired. Venhill brake line, Brembo integral rear master cylinder. Stock pegs, stripped re-finished, slight mods.  

Wiring uses a stock loom with fuse box etc and a lightweight Li battery hidden under the tank where the airbox once was.
